Taiwan - Day 3

Day 3 In Taiwan! Woke Up Early In The Morning And We Headed To NanKang Software Incubator.

So We Were Given A Talk On This Software Park. Basically, Anyone Who Is Interested In Setting Up A Software Related Business In Taiwan Can Come Up With A Proposal And If Accepted, They Will Allow You To Rent A Space In Their Office At Normal Rates. However, They Will Provide You With Free Expertise And Help You As Much As They Can In All The Different Areas. The Government Will Then Get Back The Money They Invested In To Provide Such Expertise Through Tax From The Profits Of These Businesses.

Bibimbap For Lunch At 铁锅料理. Not Too Bad. HAHAA!

First Group To Be Given A Talk About Taipei 101 And It's Wonders. 101 Stories. It Kinda Reminds Me Of Swissotel Vertical Marathon. 73 Stories Only Though. And At 226 Meters, It's Far Short In Terms Of Height. And What's Even More Special About This Building Is During The New Year, Whereby Beautiful Magnificent Fireworks Can Be Seen Sprouting From This Building Through 8 Different Layers. Indeed, 7 Wonders Of The World.

City Hall Shopping District~ The Dinner Wasn't Too Bad. It Was Some Kind Of Beef Noodle (Pardon Me For My Poor Memory). It Has A Unique Taste Because I Honestly Don't Even Know What Type Of Beef Noodle I Ordered. Did Some Shoppinggg Too. And The Day Ended With A Group Photo. Somehow The Background Looks Abit Like It Has Been Photoshop HAHAA!

End Of Day 3.

Taiwan - Day 2

So It Was Day 2. It Was One Of The Latest Days We Woke Up, If I Did Not Remember Wrongly, Around 8 AM. No Bank Or Company Visit On A Sunday And So It Was A Pretty Much Rest And Relax Day.

Visit To 九份老街 (Nine-Portions Street). We Managed To Arrive Early And Most Of The Shops Weren't Open Yet, So It Was Sight-Seeing Time. The View High-Up Was Magnificent. And On Top Of That, We Actually Encountered A Very Unusual Scene Which Disgusted Us Alot. But Shall Not Talk About It Because It Could Be Quite Sensitive. Anyway When We Were On Our Way Out, Most Of The Shops Open. Decided To Try Some Taro Balls Before Leaving. It Tasted Great And Was Really Chewy. 口感很爽.

Lunch (Photo credits to Mr Zen Low). With Other Groups. Niceeeee Peopleeeee. I Think I'm The Only Awful One. Nothing Really Amazing, Except That The臭豆腐 Doesn't Suit My Taste Bud. Ended Up With Some Leftovers, Chose To Take Away. It's A Good Habit To Leave A Good Impression And Image Of Our Own Country When We're Away. Finished Everything Up At The Hotel With My Awesomeeee Room Mate! (:

放天灯咯 (Release of sky lantern)! Every Colour Represents A Certain Meaning And You Can Definitely See What We Wished For. HAHAA! I Think The GPA 4.0 One Was Extreme. But Anyway It Sure Was Fun. Once In A Lifetime Experience.

西门町夜市 (XiMenDing Night Market). The First Feeling Of Being In A 夜市 Is Simply Amazing. The Atmosphere. The Smells Of Tonnes Of Delicious Food Lingering In The Air. Everything Looks Sumptuous. If Only My Stomach Can Take In Unlimited Food, Trust Me, I Would've Tried All The Different Kinds Of Fooooood Sold Thereeee. Their 阿宗面线 Was Simplyyy Delicious Beyond Words. The Texture, The Taste. Authentic. And Their Surprisingly Hugeeee 鸡扒! And Finally An Amazingly Harp Player.

Taiwan - Day 1

What Should I Say? This Is By Far The Best Overseas Trip I've Been And The Best Thing That Has Happened In My Life. I've Been To Japan, Macau, Hong Kong/Sheng Zhen, SiChuan But This Is The Trip That Was Most Fruitful Among Them All.

It All Comes Down To When I First Made My Choice Of Coming Into This Course. BFS. Banking And Financial Services. What Was I Thinking Of? Being A Banker? I Used To Dream Of Becoming A Banker When I Was Younger But Then As I Grow Older, My Directions Became Clearer. I Was Definitely Going Into The Business Industry. Most Probably I Want To Open A Food Chain Restaurant. I Love Food. And It Was Business.

Now Back To Taiwan (Sat, 27 September ~ Sat, 4 October). It Wasn't Just A Fun Trip. I've Learnt Way More Than That. Taiwan's Business Environment. It Was A Great Opportunity, That's If There Isn't Any Here Right In Singapore. And What? Isn't Business All About Networking? Taiwan Barriers To Entry Is Low, Resulting In Huge Competition In All Forms Of Businesses. Singapore Barriers To Entry Isn't High Either, But We're All Trapped In This Small Island. How Much More Can We Expand, Except In Terms Of Productivity Levels?

Okay So What's So Amazing About This Trip? It Wasn't Just The Place. It Wasn't Just The People There. It Was The Company I Had. We Had The Best Lecturers On This Trip, Which Were More Like Our Friends. Not Forgetting The Amazing Tour Guide We Had From The Taiwan Side. And Of Course I Think I Was The Luckiest, Because I Had The Craziest And Funniest Group. Best Group Of Friends Ever.

Visiting The Mall 'Eslite Spectrum'. Nothing Much To See Or Maybe It's Because Everything Were Too Costly.

And Finally. Look At This Cosy Room. It's A 3-Star Hotel. 

Can You Even Believe It? I Wouldn't Give It Anything Less Than A 4-Star.

And Yup. Day 1 Ended Just Like That With Everyone Feeling Tired From The Long Plane Ride.

Sometimes, You Just Change Into Someone You Never Thought You Would Ever Become.

Back From Taiwan Like Finally!!! And Headed Over To Celebrate Grandma's Birthday After Touching Down. Of Course, Running Was Next. Just A Short Post And Definitely Not Going To Be A Post On Taiwan. I Will Post All The Pictures Up In The Next Damn Post! More Like A Life Journal, Not Like Anyone Reads My Blog Anyways!

But Anyway It All Falls Down Onto Me. My Problems. I Can Be So Insensitive And Sensitive At The Same Time. It's Like There Are Two Sides Of Me. The Bright Side And The Dark Side. The Bright Side Is Telling Me To Tell Jokes And Just Be Happy But Sometimes When You Get Too Comfortable With People, You Tell Jokes Which Can Be Really Hurtful When Misinterpreted And Trust Me I Have No Such Intentions.

And I Really Like To Annoy People. I Don't Know Why But I Find It Really Fun. But When I Realise Some People Cannot Take It, Then I'll Just Keep Quiet All The Way. And This Is When My Dark Side Comes In. Sometimes I Just Feel Like People Find Me Really Annoying To The Extend That Even I Myself Find It Too. Then I Just Shut Out Everything And Keep Quiet, Afraid That The Next Thing I Say Is Just Simply Annoying.

But That Aside. My Mindset Have Really Changed Totally. Before This Trip, Even Though I Know It's Better Staying Single, There's Still Some Hope Somewhere Things Might Change Somehow, Miracles Maybe. But As For Now I Can Feel The Huge Difference. I'm More Of An Introvert Now. Maybe Half Introvert.

I Can Interact And Make Friends With Guys. No Problem. I Would Like To Make Friends With Girls Too But Then Again There Is That Fear And Hence I Prefer To Stay Away From Fire. I Don't Want To Ever Get Attached To Anyone Or Misinterpret Anyone Who's Just Being Nice. And I Think It's Gonna Stay Like This For Some Time. Unless You're Being Friendly, If Not..

But Then Again. There's This Burst Of Creativity In Me. Maybe I'm Going To Put It Into Cooking And Coming Up With Some Colorful Dishes Or Maybe Pick Up More Magic Skills Instead Of Putting In Effort Doing Things For This Thing Called "Love".

Whatever It Is, I Know Things Will Happen That Will Continue To Steer The Direction I'm Heading Towards.
