Follow Your Dreams, Don't Doubt Yourself

I guess at some point in time, we all change. Things we believe in becomes things we used to believe in. Our opinions on things change as we gain more and more experience. This are things that are inevitable. Dreams changes too as you grow up.

STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF

And yet I cannot emphasise more, that if you choose to give up your dream because you think it's something unrealistic or impossible, then that is equivalent to giving up on your true happiness and your true purpose in life. It is your dream for a reason. It could be an inspiration but it is definitely something you find joy in or at least you believe you do. It's something fruitful and meaningful to you and if you still believe that this is something you want to pursue, then please don't stop. Just go all out.

JUST DO IT

Don't procrastinate. It's easier said then done but if you want to succeed, you'll eventually have to overcome this huge flaw. It is particularly difficult to but as time passes, you want to at least see yourself progressing slowly towards the path of absolutely no procrastination. If you set yourself a target to accomplish by today, then make sure you stick to your target. If you stay consistent like this, I'm sure you'll find that it isn't that difficult after all.

Stick to your targets and plans and you will accomplish something over time. At the very least, you will find yourself no longer procrastinating over even the smallest things you have to do from time to time. Consistent is key.

THINK POSITIVE. DON'T DOUBT YOURSELF.

3 Words. Simple enough to understand and yet, it's so powerful. It really is when you try to accomplish things.

How often do we fail because we doubt ourselves. Our negative thoughts influence us in such a way that sometimes even the simplest problems seems all so complicated. Our thoughts can be complex, but that's a choice. You can choose to think negatively and just stop at doing anything or you can think positively and start making a difference.

It's simple to say and yet tough sometimes, especially when you are the only one believing that you can do it when even the whole world doubts you or even despise you. And persevering all alone, walking the journey by yourself isn't going to make things easier. But if you don't stop trying, one day they'll see what you've tried so hard for. It was not for nothing. People will slowly start joining you on your journey to becoming unstoppable.

KEEP TRYING

Again this is not possible without trying. It's tough. But when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Going through countless failures and still hanging on to that thin hope. It really shows how much you believe in yourself. But really, don't count them as failures. Take them as lessons. You never truly fail until you stop trying. Tread on those piled up failures to lift yourself to higher grounds.

Make mistakes but don't make them twice. Come up with a list of reasons as to why you fail and work from there. See how you can improve from the past and transform yourself to fit the ever-changing society. Or perhaps if you don't want to, then continue being uniquely you and build on that you. Yes, because you are special.

BE FEARLESS

Fail to plan and plan to fail. I don't entirely disagree with this statement but all I can say is: NOT ALL THINGS CAN BE PLANNED. Planning is important but there are certain things which we can't just write on paper or think things up thoroughly and expect everything to go smoothly. Can you predict the weather? Do you know what type of customer will walk by today? What emails are you expecting to handle for the day?

Doing your research can keep you prepared but without dirtying your hands and working on the job, don't expect too much. Hands on experience means a lot and that's why you got to try. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. And don't be afraid to make decisions that are usually unpopular. If you think it is the right thing to do then just do it.

WORK ON YOUR FLAWS, BUILD ON YOUR STRENGTHS

Each of us has strengths and flaws. Acknowledge your flaws, not hide them. Because only then can you work on them. Let others know about them before hand. So at least they can let you know if you have made any progress over time. And even when it is a flaw which cannot be entirely overcome, you should build on your strengths and let it outshine your flaws.

When people talk about you, you don't want them to be talking about your flaws but rather your strengths, right? This is only possible if your strengths can more then make up for that difference. If you think you are diligent but clumsy, then make sure you're hardworking enough to rectify the mistakes you've made due to your clumsiness.

NO EXCUSES

From time to time, we all find ourselves making stupid excuses over various things.

>I'm late for the day because my alarm clock didn't ring.<
Oh so was it your alarm's clock fault for not setting the alarm itself. Or was it yours?

OR

>I couldn't finish my work today because I didn't have enough time.<
So it was the day's fault for not having more than 24 hours. Everyone has 24 hours. Everyone also has the choice to plan on how they want to go about doing the things they want to or are supposed to do. I do agree that work can be overwhelming at times but it should still be realistic. (Unless of course your boss wants you to be an insane workaholic)

Now if you go out there and stop finding excuses and make an effort to change, I'm sure you will find yourself closer. Much much closer to fulfilling that dream of yours.

So.. Go out there and make a difference. (:
