Taiwan - Day 4

Day 4! Started The Day Off With A Visit To Ming Chuan University.

For The First 3 Days I Did Not Post What I Had For Breakfast.
But Basically, We Had Buffet Breakfast At The Hotel
And Everyday Was More Or less The Sameee.

I Find This Especially Coooool.
This Is A Calories Chart Based On How Much You Eat
And How Much You Can Burn Off By Climbing Steps.
(Oh Did I Mention That Ming Chuan University Was Built On A Hill? Oops!)

Welcoming Speech And Video Played By The Host.
After Which it Was A Tour Around The School.

This Is The Broadcasting Room,
Where Key Messages Are Broadcast Across The School.
(I Think? Can't Remember Clearly. Bad Memory)

This Is The Media Room, Whereby Students Read Live News
And Put Important Information To Their Very Own Self Published Newspapers.

The View From Highhh-Uppp, After Climbing
What Seems To Be A Thousand Steps (I'm Just Exaggerating)

Whenever There Are New Collections In The Library,
They Would Be Put On Display To Attract Student's Attention.

This 'Book Recommendation Station' Actually Helps Students Find Books
They Might Actually Have Interest In Reading With Ease.

Tonnes Of Facilities In The Library To Facilitate Students Learning. Very Much Like Our Very Own NP's Library. They Also Have Book-Reading Stations Whereby The System Can Scan The Specific Page Of A Book And Read Them Out Loud To You.

They Even Offered Each Of Us Bubble Tea.
Just One Of The Many Gestures Which Shows That Taiwan People Are Really Hospitable.

We Were Given A Talk After That. Ming Chuan University Actually Offers A Huge Variety Of English-Taught Degrees And They Have Students From All Over The World. This Means Studying There Would Definitely Require One To Be Able To Communicate Well With All Kinds Of People. And Communication Is Key Especially In Businesses.

I Remember This Foreign Guy Student Talked About His Experience In Taiwan. He Was Invited Over To His Friend's House And How He Realised His Friend's Grandma Has Alzheimer. (A Common Form Of Dementia Which Worsens As Time Goes By) But Even So, She Served Him Tea Over And Over Again With A Smile. Yet Another Action Which Shows How Hospitable They Are - One Of The Many Reasons I Love Taiwan. But To Add On, Alzheimer Is A Really Scary Disease And Those That Gets Hurt The Most Are Usually Your Loved Ones.

This Is One Of The Highlights Of The Trip. Modern Toilet Restaurant! HAHAAA! Trust Me. Your First Thought Would Be - Ewwww Disgusting. Imagine Sitting On A Toilet Bowl And Eating From A Toilet Bowl. Oh By The Way You Wash Your Hands Whereby The Sink Is A Toilet Bowl Tooooo.

But The Food Was Simply Too Delicious. It's Like 1000x Better Than It Looks. Because It Probably Loooooks Bad Anyway. Especially The Ice Cream. Looks Like A CUTEEEE Pooooo But Trust Me, Give Me 10 Servings And I'll Still Finished All Of Themmm! (Sounds Like I Like Eating Pooo Oops!) Pardon Me For Sounding Greedyyyy.

A Visit To NEXTMedia Station. Quite A Cooool Experience. We Had An Insider View Of How It Was Like To Be A Reporter As Well As Learnt About How Things Work. For Example, The Commercial Break And Types Of Commercial Played For Each Channel Is Adjusted Specifically According To The Duration Of The Running Program As Well As The Types Of Viewers (Male/Female And Age Group).

Basically The Key Of This Visit Is To Teach Us That Information Is Most Valuable When It's Timely.

And Finally A Visit To 士林夜市 (Shilin Night Market) FOOD And FOOOD EVERYWHEREEEE! (: I LOVEEEE FOOOOD! Even Tried The 臭豆腐 Which Tasted Great If You Mixed It With Cabbage And Some Chili Sauce. Their Mince Meat Rice Was Also Delicious, However I Don't Really Like Their Oyster Omelette. Doesn't Suit My Taste Bud HAAHAA! I Still Prefer The Ones I Can Haveee At Chomp Chomp! The 猪什汤 (Pig Organ Soup) Was Really Goooood Thoughhh.

Bye Day 4.
